At St. Johns Law Group, we not only represent Homeowners Associations (F.S. 720) and Condominium Associations (F.S. 718), we have formed over 100 communities and drafted or redrafted 100’s of covenants. Over the years, we have represented developers in crafting the language that serves as the foundation for many community associations. We have extensive experience with the development process, understanding of subdivision infrastructure, construction plans, stormwater management and platting.

Today, we have continued that work while growing to represent associations during and after turnover, representing HOA’s with 100’s of units. That depth of experience gives us unique insight and understanding for all aspects of HOA and Condo association representation.

Our attorneys routinely assist individual clients seeking help with Architectural Review Board (ARB) and Architectural Review Committee (ARC) review and approval. We can advise on matters related to design review codes, variances, hardships, precedence setting, and related, which providing language for justifications or denials. For individuals, we often draft applications with justification and supply supporting basis for approval of site plans and architectural drawings.

We also have experience in forming and advising commercial associations, including retail centers, office complexes, and industrial warehouse developments.

We also have years of experience representing both sides in presuit mediation and litigation relating to allegations of violations of covenants and restrictions and related disputes. In fact, we have successfully obtained judgments for clients in trials of HOA matters. With that perspective, we are able to help guide clients and often have the credibility to negotiate practical results with a focus on avoiding unnecessary and protracted litigation. Our aim is to achieve a result that is consistent with the client’s expectations.
