What Types of HOA and Condo Association Work?
Advising Homeowners on Association Matters

Our attorneys routinely assist individual clients seeking help with Architectural Review Board (ARB) and Architectural Review Committee (ARC) review and approval. Our HOA & Condo Association Attorneys can advise on matters related to design review codes, variances, hardships, precedence setting, and related, which providing language for justifications or denials.

For individuals, we often draft applications with justification and supply supporting basis for approval of site plans and architectural drawings.  We respect and understand the unique personal nature of homeownership and the importance of achieving approvals and results.

HOA Disputes, Enforcement and Collections

Our first trial in court on an association covenant enforcement case was over 20 years ago.  Our attorney won.  Most of our HOA litigation never made it to trial because we prevailed by motion for summary judgment or settled at mediation.

As HOA & Condo Association Attorneys with years of experience representing both sides in pre-suit mediation and litigation relating to allegations of violations of covenants and restrictions, assessments and related disputes, we have successfully obtained judgments for clients in trials of HOA matters. With that perspective, we are able to help guide clients and often have the credibility to negotiate practical results with a focus on avoiding unnecessary and protracted litigation.

Our aim is to achieve a result that is consistent with the Board’s expectations and budget.

Can You Budget?

As we see it, the role of our lawyers is not just the basic legal advice but also budgeting and setting expectations the Board can approve from the outset and share with members.   This includes budgeting legal fees and costs so we work together at the outset to minimize future surprises.

Final Thoughts on HOA Representation

Whether a small 20 unit homeowners association or a large 600+ unit HOA, we can adapt our services to fit the needs and expectations of your Board.

Our seasoned HOA & Condo Association Attorneys understand the importance of any Board and its Board Members to accurately and openly report and inform community members while striking a balance with matters that need to remain confidential. We also appreciate that the Board acts as a unit, by majority vote, and that our lawyers serve at the pleasure of the Board.
